Carter's a BIG Boy!!!

Carter has had his feeding tube removed today and is feeding from a bottle with each meal! He is finally free from any tubes and wires. ( He still has his monitoring wires on until he is discharged ) He is doing well with finishing all of his milk consistently, and continues to gain weight. He was awake for us for 2 hours yesterday, since his Jaundice continues to improve. The nurses are talking about possibly being able to send him home next week, so please continue to pray that he will remain strong enough to come home.
Olivia is still having occasional apnea episodes that she forgets to breath, but the doctors think that her reflux medication is helping. She doesn't show much interest in feeding yet, but as her reflux improves it wont hurt her to feed anymore. She too is doing so well, and we are so proud of how far they have come in the past 2 1/2 weeks!!! I never realized how proud I would be of them already.
Thank you to everyone who has been bringing meals to Mitch and I at the hospital. At the end of a real long day it is nice to have a prepared meal waiting for us to take home.
It is almost the weekend, and Carter and Olivia can't wait to spend it with the whole family together since daddy doesn't have to work!!!
