HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! Hope that each of you had a safe night, and looking forward to a great 2009!
We celebrated at home with Carter and Olivia and Todd and Amanda. They brought the wings and we had the apple sausage! Everything was going great until about 10:30pm. Mitch and I had just finished giving the babies their last bottle before bed, and Harley needed to go out. When Todd let her out back she took off after a skunk, and sure enough got sprayed again! That's twice now in 4 months! Needless to say things got a little busy from that moment on. Mitch gave her a bath in the back yard with the same concoction the vet told us to use last time...baking soda, peroxide, and dish soap. We then had to let her inside considering that she was wet and it was SO cold outside. Once again our house smells like skunk though...she is confined to the mud room until she doesn't smell anymore, and in the mean time we will just have to live with the smell. What we do for our pets!!!

Today we went shoe shopping so that we could get away from the smell...they both ended up with their first pair of Nike's and they are so stinking cute!

Not much planned for the weekend...Saturday we are cleaning all day in an attempt to rid the house of skunk!
