Just wanted to update everyone on our weekend. Sunday morning I had blurred vision and when we called the Ob-Gyn she suggested that we come in and get checked out. Turns out that
I have mild preeclampsia and they admitted me on Sunday afternoon. They ran many blood and urine tests over the next 24 hours and the results concluded that the disease was progressing. The NICU doc came in and talked to us late Sunday night about what to expect if the babies were to be born this week. Their sizes and heart rates look great, but they are still 10 weeks early-it was really scary to hear about what they would look like and need, but its better I guess to be prepared. Unfortunately there is no treatment for preeclampsia except for delivery. The disease is very serious, but the doc allowed us to go home for now. She wants me to be seen in the office 2 times a week and have blood and urine testing once a week. We are now living at my parents house until the babies are born because I am on 100% bed rest and not allowed to drive. This way Mitch gets some help with running me around to all the appointments. We are praying that the disease slows itself down and we are able to continue to carry the babies for at least another 4 weeks. We will try to keep everyone updated on here, but please continue to keep us in your prayers. Please pray that my disease will slow down, the babies will continue to grow and be healthy, and that Mitch will continue to show such amazing strength and courage through all of this. He is the most amazaing husband and father-to-be that I could have ever asked for to be by my side during all of this.
